Being a full-service plastic and surgery clinic,
we get patients in our office of all ages with a variety of concerns. Some are
looking for preventative answers to aging while others are hoping to erase the
signs of aging that have already become noticeable. Today there are many options for a fresher appearance,
whether surgical or non-surgical.
The key to having a superior experience is finding
a plastic surgeon that cares about keeping intact the integrity of your appearance
unique to you. At Northwest Arkansas Center for Plastic Surgery, we are
dedicated to helping our patients achieve natural-looking results. Our
procedures are aimed at providing a healthy, well-rested look for the patient,
regardless of the concern.
The first step to treatment is to schedule a
consultation, which is complimentary for cosmetic patients. We listen to the
patient’s concerns, get a clear picture of their expectations, and then we set
realistic goals. At this point we
discuss non-surgical and/or surgical options. We try to start with the most
non-invasive procedures, if appropriate, which would include injectable
treatments.
Eyes are often the first area that show our age.
Thin skin, crow’s feet, and bags under the eyes can make a person look tired. Injectables
and fillers are nonsurgical options to these cosmetic challenges. Injectables
can help soften the lines made from facial expressions. When strategically placed,
these products can even help give a lift to the brow. We can also help
camouflage the bags under the eyes using these products. When placed in the
cheeks, fillers can help to give the face dimension, thus giving a smoother
transition from tear trough area to cheek.
Injectables like these can help us make small subtle adjustments without
any down time to the patient. Dramatic improvements can be made with the right
injectable in the right area. Our clinic carries a variety of different fillers
and injectables, including Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, Juvederm, Radiesse,
Restylane, and Sculptra. To find out which product is best for a specific
concern, we recommend scheduling a consultation. All injectables at NWACPS are
done by the physician.
We often have patients that want more correction
than what an injectable filler can offer them. At this point we consider surgical
alternatives. Options for surgical
correction are numerous and are tailored to what will be best for the patient. Examples
of such procedures include eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), brow lift, or
facelift. Generally speaking, these procedures are for those who are 40 years
of age and older.
For younger patients who are concerned with a
specific facial area, we have surgical options as well. For example, sometimes we
will have a younger patient that is unhappy with the shape of her nose. We find
that small surgical changes to the structure of the nose can have subtle, yet pleasing,
results. Another benefit to surgical procedures is that the results will last, resetting
the hands of time.
Injectable treatments and surgical options do not
address surface skin concerns. Healthy skin is the goal of every patient, whether
he or she is considering surgery or not. If your skin is uneven in texture or
color, dry, and unhealthy-looking, you can appear older. We encourage our patients
to take advantage of our licensed medical aesthetician, either as a first step,
or in addition to other options. She is able to provide the best medical-grade skin
rejuvenation available today. We have several noninvasive treatments that
require little downtime, and no anesthesia, to target sunspots, age spots, fine
lines, enlarged pores and hyperpigmentation. With specialized training in
chemical peels, lasers, and permanent cosmetics, she is sure to offer what you
need to look your best at any age. We are pleased that we are able to offer
such a wide range of services along with the most results-driven skin care
lines on the market today.
In addition to facial rejuvenation, we offer
options for whatever your cosmetic concern may be. Our top priority is helping
patients to live beautifully at any age!
